How It Works?
Just Three Easy Steps!
-
Step One:
-
To make entering your Home Inventory into StuffTrakker even easier, we provide you with printable checklists. These checklists lead you through your home, room by room, to inventory your personal possessions. You’ll find common household items listed in each room on the checklist, such as chairs, sofas, tables, etc… Simply indicate how many of each item you own, and include details like make, model, and manufacturer. There is also space to include additional items, not already on the list.
If you own artwork, jewelry, antiques, or other valuables that have been appraised, include a copy of the appraisal.
-
Step Two:
-
Now, start the digital photography of your home. Perform your inventory on a room-by-room basis. Refer to the list you made. Take close-up photographs of all the items on your list. Don’t overlook rugs or lighting fixtures.
Clothes closets should be photographed. You do not have to photograph every article of clothing. Furs, evening gowns, business suits, and leather coats should be photographed separately, and included in the written inventory.
Also, open the kitchen cabinets and drawers and photograph the contents. You need not remove anything. Valuable items like bread makers, electric mixers, silverware sets, china, and cutlery should be photographed separately and included in the written inventory.
